Meet the Edge Board

Patricia Freeman

Pat recently retired as the Administrator of Palatka Health Care Center, a skilled nursing center in Palatka, Florida to help jumpstart efforts to bring the first New Tech Network High School to Florida through the EDGE Foundation, a non-profit organization. For years Pat has been involved in public policy and legislative issues involving health and senior services, reimbursement/fiscal management and education, working with lawmakers, associations and others on these complex issues.

Cheryl Batteiger

Cheryl, better known as Boo, was born and raised in Putnam County. She earned her B.S. degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Florida in 1989. Over the years Boo has taught swimming, been a personal trainer, an Environmental Health Specialist and Diabetes Educator. She is also a licensed real estate agent. Boo has also volunteered with seniors in Putnam County. Along with her husband, they have operated the Palatka Country Club Pool for the past 5-7 years. Boo has three boys which she has homeschooled for the last 10 years. One of her children now attends Putnam EDGE High School, leading to her involvement in the activities of the school. Boo was elected to the Edge Board of Directors in October, 2014 to serve as a Parent representative to the Board. She is excited about PEHS and the role it will play in supporting sound values and ethics while providing a strong education so they will become productive and responsible adults.

LeAnn Wilson

LeAnn Wilson is a licensed insurance agent, active in the industry for 20 years. She has worked in advertising and marketing for about 8 years.  Mrs. Wilson is originally from Georgia and moved here about 12 years ago., but has spent summers here with her grandparents for over 30 years.  She is married to Greg Wilson and they have 2 wonderful children, Ashton 27 who is a nurse in GA and Dallas 18 who is a junior a Putnam EDGE.

Julie Pinner

Julie is the Office Manager At CRG Architects/Palatka, Inc., a local architecture firm that specializes in the design of educational facilities.  Julie has a varied professional background which includes extensive training on the Sunshine Law and Public Records Law, bookkeeping, solicitation of bids for products and services, and contract review and implementation.  Julie has two teenage children who are growing up quickly, which has allowed her to join our Board of Directors.  Julie also enjoys giving back to the students of EDGE High School as the Advisor to our Student Government.

Roshonda Phillips, MSN, RN-BC, CNL, VHA-CM

With 15 years of nursing experience, Mrs. Phillips- Watson is a Clinical Nurse Educator and the Coordinator of Special Nursing programs within the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. As the Co-Chairman of the Nurse Professional Standards Board within the NFL/SGA VHS, she has extensive experience in nursing leadership and professional development. As a CNE, Mrs. Phillips-Watson develops and facilitates training and competencies for a wide range of staff. In addition to the CNE role, she is an adjunct clinical professor at St. Johns River State College (LPN-ASN program) and Santa Fe College (ASN program).
Mrs. Phillips-Watson is currently enrolled at Jacksonville University in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice program. She received her MSN with a concentration as a Clinical Nurse Leader from the University of South Florida, her BSN from the University of Phoenix, and her ASN from St. Johns River State College. She has two board certifications by the American Nursing Credentialing Center in the Medical-Surgical Nursing and Cardiac Vascular Nursing and one certification from the Commission on Nurse Certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader. In addition, she has two VHA certifications, VHA Certified Mentor and a VHA Certified Career Development Facilitator. She is an active member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nurses.
She is married with three children and resides in Putnam County, FL. Her passions include mentoring and inspiring others, reading, and traveling.
